- This handy mixed grade pack of high quality steel wool covers a wide range of general purpose preparation and maintenance work including cleaning, degreasing and surface preparation for painting It includes 30g rolls of each of fine, medium and coarse grades - ideal for DIY projects and maintenance jobs
- Ideal for use on metal, wood, paint and varnish, the steel mesh is wound into a roll that can be easily cut to the right size with sharp scissors to minimise wastage It can be moulded to any shape for curved, irregular and hard to reach places and unlike sandpaper does not clog
- Steel wool is also an effective short-term solution to preventing access for mice and other rodents, enabling you to mould it into shape and block small holes temporarily, sealing with caulk
- Fine grade is ideal for gentle surface abrasion between coats of paint and varnish or smoothing out bare wood after using coarser grades of sanding paper
- Medium grade is ideal for removing paint, varnish and rust from wood, metal and copper pipes
- Coarse grade is ideal for aggressive removal of paint, varnish and rust from wood, metal and copper pipes
- Can also be used in conjunction with chemical strippers where a more aggressive approach is required on harder films such as two-pack or epoxy coatings Always use lined gloves (not disposable gloves) when handling steel wool
